Prayers of Intercession

O Lord, our rock and our redeemer, let the prayers we now offer, both in voice and in the silence of our hearts, be acceptable to you.

A brief silence.

May your church sing of your steadfast love, O Lord, forever. May we proclaim your faithfulness to all generations. Hear us, O God. Your mercy is great.

May all of your creation bear witness to your redemptive and sustaining power, O Lord, forever. May we be good stewards of all that you have made. Hear us, O God. Your mercy is great.

May your peace and justice rule over all lands and governments, O Lord, forever. May we work for justice and peace among all nations and peoples. Hear us, O God. Your mercy is great.

May all who know injustice or oppression feel the firmness of your faithfulness, O Lord, forever. May we proclaim your love and mercy to a world desperate to hear of it. Hear us, O God. Your mercy is great.

May your presence be known to all who suffer, O Lord, forever. May we be agents of your healing and comfort to all in need (especially,…). Hear us, O God.Your mercy is great.

Here other intercessions may be offered.

May your love be known throughout eternity, O Lord, forever. May we, one day, join with all the faithful departed in singing of your steadfast love and faithfulness. Hear us, O God. Your mercy is great.

To you, gracious God, we commend all for whom we pray, trusting in your boundless mercy; through Jesus Christ, our Savior.

Amen.
