Prayers of Intercession:

(Introduction and Conclusion from Revised Common Lectionary Prayers, copyright © 2002)

Sisters and brothers in Christ, God invites us to bring our doubts and fears, our joys and concerns, our petitions and praise, and offer them for the earth and all its creatures.

A brief silence.

God of all, orient your church toward you and inspire our witness that all of creation may see your glory in our actions and lives. Hear us, O God. Your mercy is great.

God above all, bring healing and wholeness to creation and make us better stewards of all that you have made. Hear us, O God. Your mercy is great.

God among all, work your peace and justice among the nations and humble our leaders that they might better do your will. Hear us, O God. Your mercy is great.

God with all, share your presence with the despairing and bring hope to the hopeless. Hear us, O God. Your mercy is great.

God in all, work in the lives of all who suffer in anyway and restore them to abundant and vibrant life. Hear us, O God. Your mercy is great.

Here other intercessions may be offered.

God throughout all, unite us with all the saints who have gone before and inspire in us praise and thanksgiving in all times and places. Hear us, O God. Your mercy is great.

Receive these prayers, O God, and transform us through them, that we may have eyes to see and hearts to understand not only what you do on our behalf, but what you call us to do so that your realm will come to fruition in glory. Amen.
