Prayers of Intercession:

(Introduction and Conclusion from Revised Common Lectionary Prayers, copyright © 2002)

Let us pray for the needs of the church and the world to God who raised Jesus to new life.

A brief silence.

Send the church our to make disciples and proclaim your love to all nations. Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.

Save creation from the shortsightedness of humanity and bring your healing to bear upon all life. Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.

Bring the nations into the arms of your mercy and grant all people leaders who care for them. Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.

Strengthen all the baptized in their faith and renew their trust in your great promises. Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.

Be with the sick and suffering (especially,…) and provide them with wholeness and joy. Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.

Make us better teachers of your Word and strengthen our community of faith. Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.

Here other intercessions may be offered.

Bring all the saints into your great congregation that we may share the glad news of your deliverance with all. Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.

Through the resurrection of your son, O God, you destroy the power of death and remove your people’s shame. By the power of the Spirit, raise us from sin and seat us at the paschal feast, that we may rejoice in the gift of salvation Jesus has won for us. Amen.
