Sisters and brothers, our baptismal vows call us to compassion and mercy on behalf of those in need. We offer our prayers for the church and the world.

A brief silence.

Heal the church, O Lord, and protect it from hypocrisy, oppression, and injustice. Lord in your mercy, hear our prayer.

Heal the world, O Lord, and use us bring about your abundant providence for all people. Lord in your mercy, hear our prayer.

Heal the nations, O Lord, and turn us from selfishness and violence towards cooperation and peace. Lord in your mercy, hear our prayer.

Heal those suffering in mind or spirit, O Lord, grant them the knowledge of your great love and care for them. Lord in your mercy, hear our prayer.

Heal those suffering in body, O Lord, and restore them to wholeness in you. Lord in your mercy, hear our prayer.

Heal this assembly, O Lord, and deepen our faith in your eternal promises. Lord in your mercy, hear our prayer.
