Prayers of Intercession:

(Introduction and Conclusion from Revised Common Lectionary Prayers, copyright © 2002)

God of mercy and healing, you who hear the cries of those in need, receive these petitions of your people that all who are troubled may know peace, comfort, and courage.

A brief silence.

Make your church unashamed of the Gospel; willing to dance, sing, and praise that all may know the love and grace of God. Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.

May all that lives and breathes see you as the source of life and joyously sing out with your praises. Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.

You are enthroned above all else; grant humility to all world leaders and bring your kingdom forth in mercy and justice. Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.

Strengthen all missionaries as they accompany the communities they serve; and empower them to serve the needs of our neighbors across the globe. Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.

Renew those who provide care for others; and ease any guilt they may experience for seeing to their own needs as well as the needs of others. Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.

Protect this congregation and guide it in your ways that our witness here may be full of trust and joy. Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.

Here other intercessions may be offered.

With thanksgiving for those who now rest in you (especially,…); keep their memories alive in us until we meet again. Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.

Life-giving God, heal our lives, that we may acknowledge your wonderful deeds and offer you thanks from generation to generation through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Prayers of Intercession:

(Introduction and Conclusion from Revised Common Lectionary Prayers, copyright © 2002)

Friends in Christ, God invites us to hold the needs of our sisters and brothers as dear to us as our own needs. Loving our neighbors as ourselves, we offer our thanksgivings and our petitions on behalf of the church and the world.

A brief silence.

Compassionate God, forgive the church for its errors; restore us when we stray from the truth of your love and grace. Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.

Compassionate God, forgive us when we harm creation; restore us when we fail in stewarding the gifts you have given us. Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.

Compassionate God, forgive our leaders when they stray from justice and peace; restore the nations to wholeness and mercy. Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.

Compassionate God, forgive us our sins; restore in us the desire for reconciliation and relationship over our selfishness. Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.

Compassionate God, restore the ill (especially,…) and forgive us when we inflict pain on others. Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.

Compassionate God, forgive the sins of this congregation; restore in us a sense of unity and gospel-driven purpose. Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.

Here other intercessions may be offered.

Compassionate God, forgive all the saints and bring us into your loving and gracious presence at the last day. Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.

Hear our prayers, God of power, and through the ministry of your Son free us from the grip of the tomb, that we may desire you as the fullness of life and proclaim your saving deeds to all the world. Amen.
