Prayers of Intercession:
O Lord, our rock and our redeemer, let the prayers we now offer, both in voice and in the silence of our hearts, be acceptable to you.
A brief silence.
Bless your church with ears to hear and eyes to see. As your children, guide us in all that is good and teach us your ways that we may proclaim your enduring goodness and compassion. Hear us, O God. Your mercy is great.
Bless all of your creatures and everything you have made. As your children, guide us in being stewards of the earth and its myriad resources that we may proclaim your majestic and sustain power. Hear us, O God. Your mercy is great.
Bless all leaders of governments and civil society. As your children, guide us in seeking peace and pursuing it that we may proclaim your justice to all. Hear us, O God. Your mercy is great.
Bless those who are oppressed and marginalized. As your children, guide us in departing from evil and doing good that we may proclaim your restoring power to all those in need. Hear us, O God. Your mercy is great.
Bless all who suffer from afflictions of any kind. As your children, guide us in offering comfort, companionship, and care for all who suffer (especially,…) that we may proclaim your healing to the hurting. Hear us, O God. Your mercy is great.
Here other intercessions may be offered.
Bless all the saints who have gone before us. As your children, guide us in looking to the example of the saints and being examples to those saints that will follow after us, that we may proclaim your eternity throughout the ages. Hear us, O God. Your mercy is great.
To you, gracious God, we commend all for whom we pray, trusting in your boundless mercy; through Jesus Christ, our Savior.
Amen.
