Prayers of Intercession
O Lord, our rock and our redeemer, let the prayers we now offer, both in voice and in the silence of our hearts, be acceptable to you.
A brief silence.
Pour out your favor on your church, O Lord. Bless Bishops, Pastors, Diaconal Ministers, Sunday School Teachers, Councils, and all who work to proclaim the reign of your kingdom. Hear us, O God. Your mercy is great.
Build up the earth, O Lord. Bless Park Rangers, DNR Agents, Farmers, Environmental Scientists, Environmental Agencies, and all who are involved in the care of creation. Hear us, O God. Your mercy is great.
Show forth your glory, O Lord. Bless our President, Governor, and all other elected leaders that they may fear you. Hear us, O God. Your mercy is great.
Rise up and have compassion on all in need, O Lord. Bless the destitute and lowly, and all who cry out in distress. Hear us, O God. Your mercy is great.
Incline your ear to the prayers of all who are in pain, O Lord. Bless the sick and suffering, those who mourn, and all who yearn for healing (especially,…). Hear us, O God.Your mercy is great.
Here other intercessions may be offered.
You are enthroned for ever, O Lord. Bless all those who have gone before us in the journey of faith and life, may their witness give testimony to your enduring name. Hear us, O God. Your mercy is great.
To you, gracious God, we commend all for whom we pray, trusting in your boundless mercy; through Jesus Christ, our Savior.
Amen.
